Nature's Song
Listen to a Sample
Travelling from the East, a man, travelling from the West
Met on top a mountain, high above a rain forest
They journeyed far to trade a Moon, trade it for a Sun
Each had keys, silver and gold, and just in case, a gun
They bartered long into the night the treasures of the Earth
While quietly a melody began its secret birth
From the humming of the honey bees to the great Sequoia trees
All sang a song, carried on the rivers and the breeze
Singing........
Ahlalalalalah turanaturadadadadedadundie
Eastern Man was first to speak, "Behold this mystery!
The ancient ruler of the tides, and I've its ivory key
I will trade my Moon, trade it for your Sun
and your Deserts and your Rains before the deal is done."
Well Western Man held up his key and flashed it in the sky
"This unlocks that burning light without which we would die
You ask a lot for just the Moon, it goes beyond good reason
So. you must give to me in turn, the Wind and all four Seasons"
Ahlala............
Both the men had heard this song sung light upon the breeze
But they never paid it any mind; to them it had no meaning
Power, fame, and riches gained was the purpose to their lives
For they believed that these would bring them love and peace of mind
So, in the end, the price they paid was with their very lives
For Nature, captive and enslaved, could no more survive
Her air grew foul, her waters black, and all her land was bare
And now you know that Nature's Song is a warning and a prayer
